Plan or measured-photo background

Use a known measurement for scale. Keep hidden conditions out of the claim.

A dimensioned PDF electrical plan is usually the cleanest source for device counts and route measurements. A jobsite photograph can document visible, accessible runs when it contains a reliable reference and the perspective is suitable, but it cannot reveal concealed wiring, loading, or code conditions.

Calibrate only from a dimension you trust, retain the source, and verify routing, voltage, loads, existing service, product selections, clearances, and concealed conditions before ordering or contracting.

Photo-assisted quantities are estimates. Perspective, lens distortion, occlusion, and stale conditions can affect results. Takeoff is not an electrical-design, engineering, code-compliance, inspection, or permit tool and does not replace field verification by qualified people.
