Estimator worksheet
- Purchase unit
- one 4 x 8 ft sheet
- Gross basis
- 32 gross square ft per sheet before layout, cuts, openings, breakage, and waste
- Quantity method
- Lay out walls and ceilings as separate groups. Divide gross surface area by 32 only as a check, then round each reviewed sheet category up after orientation, openings, cuts, and waste.
- Cost method
- Multiply each sheet category by its observed per-sheet price; keep specialty board, tax, delivery, lift, stocking, trim, compound, fasteners, labor, and waste separate.
Scope checks before ordering
- Do not pool regular, Type X, moisture-resistant, abuse-resistant, shaft, or cementitious panels.
- Review wall and ceiling sheet counts separately because pooled rounding can understate the order.
Do not merge unlike products
- Exclude fire-rated Type X, mold-resistant, abuse-resistant, cement, and specialty boards.
- Do not normalize a different sheet length without publishing it as a different material.
- Disclose minimum-order, lift, and delivery pricing.
Before using a price
Confirm board type, assembly requirements, sheet length, edge, lift quantities, boom or placement charges, stocking access, and damage policy.

Local price coverage
No ZIP price is published on this reference page. Record a current exact-product quote or authorized observation manually, including its source, serving market, date, package basis, availability, tax, delivery, account requirements, and validity. A future location page remains separate and evidence-gated.
